Mina's eyes opened slowly. She felt blood rushing to her head. Then she felt the tight wire wrapped around her ankles. She looked up and saw what looked like a floor, but couldn't really tell because her vision was blurring from the blood filling her head. She was dizzy enough as it was. Being upside down did not help.
She caught sight of the kids. They looked like they were sleeping, but Mina knew better. They were out cold. Skye would never flop on top of his sister.
The there was that woman in front of her. The villain smiled, the mother growled. "If you've hurt them, you're dead!"
Gorast spread her arms out. "I'll accept my fate, though I doubt you could kill me."
Mina growled harder, struggling against the wire which wouldn't give. It started cutting into her ankle. "Let them go! They're not worth anything to you!"
Gorast frowned and shook her head. "If they were useless to me I would have killed them."
Mina growled yet again. "What do you want with us?"
"Your husband is a possible threat to the Brotherhood's conquest of this planet. I'm here to eliminate him."
Mina was shocked. "The Brotherhood is gone! It doesn't exist any more! You're fighting a lost cause..." She glanced in the direction of her children. "...if you can call this fighting."
Gorast actually laughed. "Yes, I figured there would have been some organization in your planet's history that went by the title of Brotherhood. I represent the Brotherhood of Makuta, but you've probably never heard of us."
Behind her, Skye woke up. "Wha..." He rolled away from his sister. "Eheheew. Mom, I had a bad dream." He realized were he was when he saw his mother hanging from he ceiling. "Mom!"
Gorast grabbed him and threw him at the wall. Mina struggled behind her.
  "Leave them alone or I'll-"
The windows at the front of the building shattered as two bloodied figures flew through. Gorast's opinion of Radiak suddenly sailed until Miles stood and the Matoran remained on the ground, unable to continue fighting.
He saw his wife and children. His growl was like nothing Mina could manage. He stormed towards Gorast. "What have you done to them!"
"I simply restrained them until you showed up. Wouldn't want you to leave without them." She remained calm, though her voice grew deeper as her form changed to a large metallic insect.
Miles narrowed his eyes on the monster. "Then I'm here to take them and go. He could not stop me. You will not stop me."
Radiak raised his head, orange luminescent blood poured out of his shoulder where the metal was torn and twisted as if something had been rammed through him. "It's tails, they're razor sharp! Watch out!"
Miles turned to the speaker, ready to silence him. Gorast launched herself at him, swiping him away with a long clawed arm. He hit the wall, causing it to crack and crumble, then dropped to the ground. He was up in a second, his tails spinning and gouging the floor as they went. The insect-like creature lunged, pouring all her strength into one blow. Miles blocked it with his tails which sliced straight through her arm, severing it. The Makuta fell back, crunching the floor tiles with every step.
Melody woke up in time to see a large clawed foot land millimeters from her nose. She screamed and scrambled to her feet. Gorast grabbed her and flung her at Miles. He caught the screeching child at the expense of his balance.
Skye yelled to him. "Daddy, watch out!"
Miles moved just as a claw blade shattered a floor tile. Radiak snarled and charged. Miles threw Melody into the air and turned to Radiak. Above them, Mina caught Melody. She briefly noticed that the ceiling was closer to collapsing than the wire was to snapping. Below them, they watched as Miles wrapped his tails around Radiak's neck and rolled under the Matoran. Radiak fell on top of himself, crumpling in pain.
Miles stood and walked away from the fallen Matoran. He headed straight for Gorast, intending on finishing the encounter. "It ends here and now! You'll go no further!"
Gorast's form shifted once more. "Fine by me. But we will. This city will be gone before morning."
Awesome. Done that part. I like this one a lot. But this is only the beginning.

Also, about Miles' super hard, super sharp tails. :iconcapnchryssalid: explains it in his story on fanfiction.net. It has something to do with residual chaos energy.

Also, my brother is on board the Warrior's Tale creative consultant crew, but I do need others.
